Speak!

Speak!

Speak, she says to me,
Talk of your love for me.
For once we spent hours doing so.
And now there is a silence!
Yet my words scream out my love.
Can you not hear them,
In the sound of the keys you type?
Can you not listen to,
The wind hitting against your window?
For it carries my words with it,
The wind.
Hear my proclamation, Beautiful!
In the sound of the heels you wear,
And hear the breeze blow when you smile.
But most importantly my love,
Hear your heart skip a beat,
When you see me, when you think of me.
You have shunned me away.
All that I had is lost,
So too the little sanity I once acquired.
Yet I hope to gain,
You and your love.
And find me you will, waiting here,
Speaking words you may never hear.

Bury Me There!

Bury Me There!

The Land YHWH has promised,
The Land of olives, of milk and honey.
The Land where The Messiah hath walked.
The Land of orchards, of gardens and figs,
The Holy Land of Your Prophets Lord.
The Land where the sweet rivers flow.
Where King David played to please you,
Where King Solomon built Your House.
Bury me there my brothers and sisters.
What more can I ask,
What more honour can I desire.
Bury me there O Thou Great Jehovah!
Let me fight for Thy Chosen Ones,
Let me be their servant,
Let me shed my sweat and blood for them,
Let me be Thy slave Adonai!
Hear my prayer O Elohim!
How can I not love Thy Land?
How can I not be a slave to Your people?
Is it not from King David's line,
That The Messiah hails?
The world rejects them,
As it did Your Son The Messiah.
Have mercy on them Lord!
Let Zion be blessed my Lord!
Let all those who love it be blessed!
Shower it with Your Mercy and Love!
May its rivers flow with milk and honey!
May the birds, the creatures find rest in it!
May Your people be blessed forevermore!
May they be a beacon to others!
And may it come to pass,
What You have planned for Jerusalem!

In K-Town

In K-Town

This, my city, what they now call K-Town,
Is where you and I grew up sweeheart.
It is this city, where our childhood's memories are.
I'm walking on that famous beach,
The 'chai-wala' blares out to me,
The kids, run around, shouting for joy.
I tread on these sands, I see its grey and white,
Stuck on to my feet,
And I hope one day we will hold onto each other,
The same way,
As coarse as I may be like this sand.
I walk these streets,
I drive my busted up car around this city.
Passing by those places you....
But wait, was I not with you just now,
In your new, distant land?
There where law is supreme.
There, no power lines are seen.
There where the sun shines brighter,
Though not brighter than you.
Where a river flows through your city,
And we walked its streets,
Unafraid, clinging onto each other,
Holding onto our love.
Yeah, I'm in K-Town,
The camel on its beach nearly runs over me.
This city I shall soon abandon,
As you did me.
No I will not travel to you,
Nor am I saving up to,
For near you I may be,
But long distance never works.
Has the new, clean air you breathe polluted you?
Yeah, l am in K-Town.

They Said 'I Do'

They Said 'I Do'

Dressed in white and grey,
They utter those celestial words.
Words which now bind them,
Words which they longed to say.
Their smiles tell of the delight,
Their hearts feel right now.
Yes, they too are human and nervous,
Though larger than life they will always be.
Through many trials have they been.
Many proscriptions have they bravely broken.
He, a man of class and fervour,
She, dainty, sweet and loving.
Their love resounds in the heartbeats of those they love.
Their humility knows no bounds.
Tis how one should always love,
And show the world how it is done.
I have seen them laugh,
I have seen them teary-eyed,
And today, with mere words,
I wish to honour them,
My brother of old,
And my sweet sister of new.
May The Almighty shine His love on you,
May His blessings on you be bountiful!
Thank you for evincing true love.
To those who have lost hope in love,
Love is God, Love is our parents,
Love is our better half,
Love is surely Shallum and Areeba!

The Magic of You..

The Magic Of You..

Endless times have I explained to my heart,
Love is not its game.
Still it drinks of you,
Of your walks, of your smiles.
Of the way your hair,
Caressed the air when it blew.
Of the way your feet,
Barely touched the grass.
Fearing of ruining it,
You floated.
Of that mood changing smile,
The sun waited on,
So it could shine brightest!
And yet again, I'm high on you!
Reliving that afternoon intoxication,
I had once reprimanded.
How can I not be drunk,
Of your matchless beauty?
The stars follow your steps.
The glades of grass and flowers,
Tilt their heads towards you,
As your fingers touch them,
Trying to grasp your proliferating scent.
Let me drink myself to ecstasy,
Let me be high on her!
If there be a stronger gin,
A sweeter wine, bring me it.
For these lips are the only,
That I find sacchariferous.
Yea, tis the magic of her,
The magic of my goddess.
I see my perforated soul,
Becoming anew,
When your gaze sets upon me.
Without her I am tenebrific,
She is the beacon of my being.
